Lost the npcs due to extreme death.

We left the tower to explore Du Hurst. There is a purply haze that hangs over everything. We found a key and some other items.

We made our way to the nearest next tower, took 3 hours. We easily entered with Key. We are attempting to figure out how to proceed: With an obese harpy in our way.

Session

We discuss quickly what to do and Frank heads up the ladder to the room with the harpy, above.

As he goes up, he can see the harpy. It is so fat it is hunched over on itself. Frank startles it. It is hopping but can't fly, it tries to peck at Frank. Frank attacks it.

With some quick thinking, we are able to get the entire party past the harpy. But the harpy is now trapped inside of a Bead of Force dome, covering the hole with the ladder.

Frank is at the top and he sees two specs fighting with a humanoid, but they are making their way towards the tower.

Frank finds: A long sword, a short sword, arrows, daggers. (He rolls a 98(d100) and 2(d4)). He finds some hand wraps. They have some sigils and are the same exact length. Wraps of Unarmed Power +1.

The rest of us make our way up to the top floor.

The house we set on fire is ablaze.

Jin and Frank start unleashing javelins and hellfire upon the harpies. They get hurt and the harpies drop, killing the humanoid. They fell to their death.

We engage with the two harpies that return to the nest. One died very quickly. The other posed a bit more of a problem.

It threw a bow at Aerilon and he chose to advance on it. The harpy dropped him unconscious and flew off with him, to the roof. Taran was able to attack and kill the harpy and it dropped Aerilon's body and it began to slide down. Frank miraculously managed to grab his body as he fell. Frank healed Aerilon back to life.

We hailmary murder the fat harpy from above, killing her.

We hear the door slam at the bottom of the tower and hear footsteps as a person climbs up the ladder. The human that fell, named Lana, managed to survive and rested with us.

Investigate Tower:
Taran: 4 + 40 = Potion of Animal Friendship
Aerilon: 4 + 26 = Small satchel with a symbol I've seen before. Eye with a book below it. Inside is a single stone; Iuon Stone of Reserve.
JIn: 3 + 71 = Small leather waistband. One potion with thick red fluid. Healing Potion
Frank: 1 + 73 = Scroll. Create of Destroy Water (Level 1)

Mr. Key can lock a door for us. We cover the whole with the fat harpy body and we lock ourselves in to rest.

Jin recalls the magic from Avernus. It creeps into him and he is able to tap into the power.

Frank thinks upon losing his beard, his power. That child; whom stole his power! When Frank the Beard lost his beard.

Taran reflected on books he's read: Tons of different adventures. He is becoming Lord of the Swords.... An an unarmed combatant. (LOL)

We wake up to a chill in the air. The fires have been put out and we hear a distant scream. Sounds like a kid. Frank goes to get dressed and he puts his foot in shoe and he feels a squish. We sees a smashed potato.

We can see our breath, slightly, in the chill. Frank puts the smashed potato in his pocket.

We hear chains scraping through stone and wood.

We hear chains dragging across chain, wood, as if it's cutting through reality itself.

We can see scraps in the stone. It smells like something is burning. Smells like leather. Almost chemically. We descend. It takes some time. We open the door and we see a wreath of small bones and there is something wet hanging from the bottom of it, it is red.

We see a small shoe with coal inside, it is burning with a cold, blue flame. Trailing away are ice spikes, with the impression of hooves within, leading away. One set of tracks.

Jin attempts to douse the flames. It takes a moment and eventually it goes out. Lana picks it up and it is cold. It does cold damage to her.

Frank opens the bag, red snow pours out followed by a full grown man's head. Eyes are missing, coals placed inside. It's blackened, severe frost bite. It peaks up his forehead and wraps back around to the ears.

"Keep searching, he took my sword!" From a street over.

"Morg, any sword will do!"

These are orcs looking for Kreek, who stole their weapons.

We all have no coins. We discuss it and set off following the tracks. We see a snowman with coins for eyes, platinum for a mouth. And something rolled up for a nose; looks like a parchment.

Aerilon gets the parchment. In Fiendish.

Jins full name. That's the only thing written on it. The snowman chest explodes, a white ball flying out and hitting Jin in the chest.

We hear the jingle of chains and Lana is gone.
